Western Australia’s lawmakers have been enjoying the comfort and longevity of our leather since 2007.
This prominent project was overseen by local commercial seating manufacturer, Burgtec. Decor Design Centre created a custom leather for the lower house chamber, utilising Australian hides and meeting the colour, technical and serviceability brief of the client.
The project brought together a number of skilled craftspeople in WA, from woodturners to master upholsterers, specialised timber millers to artisanal hand carvers. What has been delivered is a legacy project that will stand the test of time in this prestigious environment.
The leather is sat on for thousands of hours per year and has delivered on its promise of being a sustainable and ideal selection for the Legislative Assembly.
